ASB election speeches postponed.

7th Grade:  MONO LAKE FIELD TRIP FOR 7TH GRADERS ONLY IS OCTOBER 4-6TH.  Have all luggage be at the North Fork School board room on Tuesday.  Don't forget your sleeping bag and pillow!  Be home at approximately 5:30 Friday afternoon for parents to pick you up in the North Fork parking lot. Parents, please be available to contact if we are late. 

8th Grade Math

Weekly standards:  8:EE.1   Know and apply the properties of integer exponents to generate equivalent numerical expressions.  Textbook 2.1  Exponent rules.

Weekly standards: Study the formation of Yosemite Valley and the creation of Mono Lake.  Glaciers, erosion, plate tectonics and ecology

4.  Check egg and discuss calcium carbonate.  Use litmus strips to test PH of the vinegar. What does acid due to calcium carbonate.  

5.  Last 20 minutes = Mono Lake story

(tomorrow:  Pumice vs obsidian,  Foss Ecosystem with food chain at Mono Lake)

8th grade
